Given the upcoming presidential election and the extra emphasis lately on the state of our nation, it seemed fitting to make a red, white, and blue bar. When I think about the state of America, while not perfect, I am reminded of our forefathers and their vision for a just and free society. I am reminded of how fortunate we are over other nations who do not have the freedoms that have been afforded to us. We have the right to be whoever we want and choose the lifestyle we want to live. That does not mean our wants or desires come easily, but at least we have the freedom to make our own choices. This is of course because our country was founded on the beliefs that people are created equal and that we the people have fundamental rights. Freedom seems to mean a lot of different things to people these days. I wonder, what freedom means to you? More importantly, how will that influence your vote in November?
When I think about freedom, I think about my family, my friends, my faith, and our future. Probably many of the same things you think about. I also think about the beauty that exists within the United States. That's actually what inspired me to make the Freedom Bar. The Freedom Bar reminds me of all the people who made our freedoms possible. Thank you! It also reminds me of how fortunate we are to live in this great nation, although not perfect. It most certainly reminds me of the song, America the Beautiful. When creating the Freedom Bar, I intentionally infused it with the scent of a fragrance oil called, Sea Mist. The scent reminds me of the beauty that exists from "sea to shining sea."
